3. Data Storage, Security and Overseas Transfer

We use reputable Australian-based healthcare and practice management platforms to store your electronic medical records. Your health information is hosted securely on servers located within Australia.

While our primary systems are Australian-hosted, some administrative or communication tools (such as email or payment gateways like Stripe) may utilize cloud infrastructure that stores data overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipients comply with the APPs.

4. Retention and Destruction

We are legally required to retain your health records for a minimum of 7 years from your last consultation (or until you turn 25 if you were a minor). Once the legal retention period expires, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or permanently de-identify your records.

5. Access and Correction

You have the right to request access to, and correction of, the personal and health information we hold about you. Requests should be made in writing to our Privacy Officer. We will respond within 30 days and may charge a reasonable administrative fee for providing access.

6. Data Breach Response

In the event of an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.
